plants: annuals for color all season!

"Annuals" are plants which bloom for one year (will not survive our Long Island winters, as most are originally tropical plants). People love them because while they are going, they give it their all, for a bright color show which lasts all summer long!

Easter and early April: pansies; daffodils; tulips; hyacinth; grape hyacinth; spring mums; osteospermum daisies

April: impatiens; petunias; wave petunias; dianthus; verbena; marigold; ivy; dusty miller; PLUS our homegrown organic herbs and vegetable plants!

late April and May: fuschia; hanging baskets; portulaca; celosia; geranium; dahlias; salvia; snapdragon; alyssum; lobelia; New Guinea impatiens; ageratum; bacopa; calibrachoa; diascia; euphorbia;

June: All of the above. There is still time to have a vegetable garden, if you come pick up some nice sized vegetable and herb plants!

July-August: All of the above

September-November: Fall Mums, asters, and Montauk Daisies! (technically they are perennials and will come back every year if you plant them in the ground, but many people enjoy them in pots just for one season)
